Hambro’s first cookery book Particular Delights won the prestigious Glenfiddich Award, and had several reprints, the last one as a hardback in 2013. The same year the book was listed in A Book for Cooks: 101 Classic Cookbooks as one of the best cookery books ever written, (Hambro wrote further cookery books).

First published in 1881 Particular Delights was reissued  in a newly designed edition but retained the delightful line drawings by Thao Soun from the original edition. The book is about the art of eating as much as the art of cooking.
